100th Year Celebration of the Avon Free Library

History:
* Started in 1914 with a $100 matching grant to purchase books.
* First Free library chartered in Livingston County, NY
* Still operates out of original building constructed in 1927 with an endowment from Aaron Barber, President, Avon State Bank.

Our Mission:
* To serve our residents and guests, of all ages, in a welcoming and community centered environment.
* To provide programs and services to meet the community’s informational, educational and recreational needs.
* Access to online catalog at www.owwl.org. Download e-books and books on tape.
* Member of Pioneer Library System serving Ontario, Wayne, Wyoming and Livingston counties.
* You get 42 libraries in one!
* Public computers, copier and fax service, community meeting room, Wi-Fi.
