Catholic Charities of Livingston County

Rooted in scripture and tradition which emphasizes the dignity of every human person especially the poorest among us, Catholic Charities of Livingston County provides direct assistance, advocates for social and economic justice, and encourages self-sufficiency through education and support. Catholic Charities is currently seeking volunteers who live in Livingston County to serve in a variety of capacities. Volunteers are needed in each community to mentor youth and young mothers, assist seniors to live independently by helping with transportation to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, housekeeping and friendly visits for the homebound. Volunteers with trucks are need to pick up donated furniture and deliver to needy families. Volunteers are needed in Mt. Morris to assist at our food pantry, clothing cupboard, and first work-site program for women transitioning off welfare by helping out at their storefront called Connections. Front desk volunteers are needed at our office in Mt. Morris to answer phones and assist the office manager with mailings are other office duties. You can volunteer once per year, once per month, or once per week, depending on your schedule and the needs of the client or program you are serving with.
