| "A friend of mine from Bristol told me about the volunteer page of the GVPS. I have formed a group of volunteer retired teachers(and others) to tutor children with cancer and other chronic diseases in the Rochester area. The area we service reaches as far west as Buffalo, east to Syracuse, and south to the Pennsylvania border. It was very difficult reaching teachers until I put a volunteer ad in the GVPS. It has been wonderful and very uplifting with all the responses. Hopefully, we will continue to grow as more and more teachers in those areas see the ad, making us able to service more and more children with chronic diseases." |
