“Have a good day” is not enough. Do not mistake being nice with being appreciative. I am a customer service manager. When I train a new employee I asked them: ” If your grandmother gives you $50.00 for Christmas, do you say thank you or do you say have a nice day”. In my 20 years, every employee said, “of course I would say thank you”! Same thing, my money goes into your pocket, eventually. I don’t’ care how nice you are, I want a THANK YOU from you. Then I will SMILE!
