American Red Cross – Batavia
The American Red Cross is in need of volunteers in Genesee County to staff our office in Batavia. We also have many opportunities to serve the community as part of the Disaster Action Team – helping the community after fire, flood or natural disaster. Office Volunteer needed: be the face of the Red Cross! Greet
visitors and course participants, answer phones, make copies,
answer general questions. Great for recently retired people or for
resume-building! Some experience preferred using a computer,
copier and phone system. Available weekdays between 9 and 4 with
afternoon positions needed one to five days a week.

paddocks, help with advertising and coordinating other volunteers.

Opportunities for volunteering include participating in reading,
crafts, and music activities in our Day Habilitation Program; lunch
monitors; one-on-one experiences such as reading, photography,
gardening in a group home setting and/or assistance with
recreational outings and weekend respite services. We are also
looking for volunteers to assist in our preschool program –
Roosevelt Children’s Center – in a classroom setting. We also have
special events during the year like our Agency Golf Tournament,
United Way Walk, fundraisers and more! A special request is for pet
therapy in our Clinic – Occupational Therapy Department and also in our Residential Program.
