The Greater Brockport Chamber of Commerce was established to promote the Village of Brockport, the Town of Sweden and the Town of Clarkson. Currently over 100 members strong, the Chamber offers business and industry an effective voice in local affairs.
Led by President Marie Bell; Vice President/Events chairperson Robin Waller; Treasurer Ted Habgood; Secretary Colleen Farley, and its Board of Directors: Elaine Bader, Meg Burdick, JoAnn Chinappi, Dorothy Daniels, Becky Gillette, Tom Bartz and Matthew Wieczorek, the Chamber supports many of the events and happenings that make Brockport the vibrant community it is.
The Greater Brockport Chamber of Commerce engages in activities and/or provides financial support for Networking Events; “After Hours at the Library,” benefiting literacy efforts at Seymour Library; the Food Shelf and the Holiday Toy Shelf; Cool Kids; and more.
Each year, the Chamber recognizes businesses and individuals for their contributions to the community, honoring recipients at a special dinner in January. Nominations are being sought for the following awards:
The Alan S. Bader Community Service Award, given to an individual or business owner who displays a charitable and unselfish character in support of the community.
Beautification Award, given to a business which continually has a well maintained landscape or a well- kept building/ facade.
Business of the Year (given to a business which has been in operation for 1 year or more). Criteria include: helpful friendly employees and staff, consistent and competent business practices and community involvement.
