Sugar Creek Glen Campground in Dansville, New York, will be hosting their first Heroes Weekend on September 5-7, 2014. On this weekend, active duty military personnel, veterans, and volunteer/paid service personnel for fire/ems/police departments can take advantage of a free night of camping with one night paid, for RV and tent sites.
According to owners Merav and Daniel Alexander, this weekend is to express appreciation to all of those who put their lives on the line to protect and serve us. “For all they do and have done to protect and help our communities and our country, we welcome them and their families to enjoy our campground and hospitality. After this fall, we hope to continue with at least two Heroes Weekends every year.”
Camping rates range from $30-37 per night. Qualified registrants for Heroes Weekend receive one night free with one night paid that weekend.
