We really need to say “Thank You” to the wonderful people of this town.
My husband and I took part in the annual “Junk Jamboree” on the grounds of the Hamlin Town Hall on August 17.
1st – My husband was struggling with a new table trying to get it set up. We are both handicapped as are most seniors. I told him to continue emptying the car while I would try to figure out the table. Within 2 minutes a lady came over and helped me get the table up.
2nd – We had to assemble the umbrella so we wouldn’t get burned by that beautiful sun. Within minutes another woman appeared to help my husband get it set up. We usually wouldn’t attempt to work a flea market by ourselves but this year it happened to be on our daughter’s anniversary and we had decided to try it alone. As it turned out, we were NOT alone. Our wonderful friends in this town were there to help us right down to the lady on the recreation department staff who helped load our car at the end of the day.
Thank you to everybody!
