As the soccer world currently awaits the prestigious World Cup Tournament; WSA eagerly prepares for its new home fields!
Webster Soccer Association, Inc. (“WSA”) has entered into an agreement to acquire 39 acres of land on Boulter Industrial Parkway, in the Town of Webster, New York, for the development of new soccer fields. The land is immediately west of the Basket Road soccer complex currently operated by WSA and south of the Basket Road multi-purpose turf field.
The new complex will include 10 soccer fields in varying sizes to comply with U.S. Youth Soccer Association standards. New parking areas will be created. In addition, restroom facilities, concession stands and picnic facilities are part of the phased development. A ground breaking ceremony is planned for August, 2014. It is anticipated the first games on the new soccer pitches will take place in the summer of 2016.
Webster Soccer Association is one of the largest youth soccer organizations in New York State. With over 2,300 registrations annually, WSA is home to Dynamo Elite Soccer Academy, WSA Travel Soccer, WSA Player Development Academy, World Cup Recreational Soccer, Micro Soccer, and 5 a Side Soccer League. WSA’s indoor soccer facility is located on Publisher’s Pkwy and provides yearlong training for all of its programs.
In addition to the current Basket Road fields, WSA has a stadium field and 6 youth sized fields at its Publisher’s Pkwy location. Every Father’s Day weekend, WSA is host to NYS’s largest youth soccer tournament as more than 350 teams and over 5,800 soccer players converge on Webster, NY.
