Office Volunteer needed: be the face of the Red Cross! Greet visitors and course participants, answer phones, make copies, answer general questions. Great for recently retired people or for resume-building! Some experience preferred using a computer, copier & phone system. Available weekdays between 9 & 4 with afternoon positions needed one to five days a week.

Meals On Wheels Needs Volunteers! Hot meals, warm smiles, independence, and peace of mind. Meals On Wheels delivers this and more to the homebound, elderly, or ill through a dedicated volunteer force. Since 1958, this Visiting Nurse Service program has nourished the health and spirit of thousands in need. Delivering a route takes just about an hour and we have routes all throughout Monroe County and in the City of Rochester. You can volunteer weekly, monthly or seasonally! Opportunities for volunteering include participating in reading, crafts, and music activities in our Day Habilitation Program; lunch monitors; one-on-one experiences such as reading, photography, gardening in a group home setting and/or assistance with recreational outings and weekend respite services. We are also looking for volunteers to assist in our preschool program – Roosevelt Children’s Center – in a classroom setting. We also have special events during the year like our Agency Golf Tournament, United Way Walk, fundraisers and more! A special request is for pet therapy in our Clinic – Occupational Therapy Department and also in our Residential Program.
