The Gallery at Cobblestone Arts Center will celebrate the art of Rochester native David Cowles on Thursday, December 5th from 5-7 PM. Attendees will be able to meet the artist, experience the vibrant work of Cowles, and enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres- free of charge. All are welcome to attend. This reception will kick off the ongoing display of Cowles' work (from December 2nd through January 26th).  Daily viewing hours are held Monday through Friday from 9 AM-2 PM. 

David Cowles was born in Rochester in 1961 as the youngest of six children. Cowles began working for the Democrat and Chronicle in 1983, before pursuing a career as a full-time freelance artist in 1991. His work has appeared in Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Time, and The Village Voice to name a few. Cowles embraces a slew of entrepreneurial titles, such as creator, designer, storyboard artist, and director on projects for Disney, Sesame Street, and Frederator Studios.
