Rochester, N.Y. - The Arc of Monroe, is now accepting applications for Adult Project SEARCH®.  Adult Project SEARCH® is a year-long business-led internship service that teaches participants relevant, marketable employment skills while immersing them in a community business environment.

Attend a “virtual informational session” on February 13, 2019 from 6-7p via online webinar format.  Register at Davidson, Director of Transition Services for The Arc of Monroe will be presenting, and you will have a chance to ask questions and have them answered live.


Eligibility requirements for Adult Project SEARCH® include:

·         Have a desire to work competitively and would benefit from gaining additional skills to do so

·         Are waiver enrolled

·         Meet OPWDD eligibility for community prevocational services

·         Are no longer eligible for high school services or are graduating this year

·         Ages 21+ are encouraged to apply


Participants accepted into the program will work and learn for the eleven months at various Del Monte Hotel Group locations around Monroe County where they will be exposed to a diverse cultural environment and expansive learning opportunities.

The Arc of Monroe supports people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, as well as a wide variety of other disabilities.  The Arc of Monroe has been providing a variety of programs and services for over 1,700 people with I/DD and their families in the Rochester community for over 60 years.
