Tattooing Minors

To the tattoo shop in [local town], shame on you for putting a tattoo on a minor. Did you know it is illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18 even with parental consent? Did you know you could have your license suspended for tattooing a minor? Shame on the minor's parents for taking the child to get the tattoo. You are teaching your child that the law doesn't have to be followed. I have reported your shop to the local authorities and they will be looking into this.

It is mid-August and at least 1 retailer, probably more, has Christmas trees and decorations up for sale in the front of the store. Can't you let us enjoy the summer until at least Labor Day?????? Why does the Christmas selling season seem to arrive earlier each year? It is no wonder people are stressed out by the end of the holidays.

i am sorry your little girls things were stolen at a church parking lot but the greatest thing you could teach your little girl is forgiveness and mercy. no stealing is not right, never was or is, but to call someone rotten, etc. i think if you are a church goer because you were in a church parking lot, i would hope you listen to what is taught by your pastor. the best example you could gi…

The road crews posted construction signs on [local road] from [local town] to [local town] months ago but no work has been started. The road is in despicable condition!! Are they just teasing us with the signs, or are they actually going to repair the road? It's in such bad shape that it is useless getting an alignment done, and it is ruining my tires. Come on [local county], get to work a…

Congratulations to the group(s) who've succeeded in ruining the [local] Boardwalk for everyone. Seems it became 'Party Central' for a select few and they chose to throw their empty beer bottles, cans, liquor and soda bottles directly into the watershed rather than disposing of them responsibly. When the trash accumulation was not enough of a thrill, they elected to kick out the safety slat…

To our neighbors who live across the street from us who feels the need to give my younger sister the middle finger whenever you see her outside, what kind of message are you sending to your young children who are with you when you do it? If you even bothered to take the time to get to know her, you would have found out that she is autistic and doesn’t know what she did wrong to deserve you…

I recently took my dog to the [Local] Vet Clinic in [local town] for a tooth that fell out. I wanted to get an antibiotic for him. During the visit no gloves, creams, ointments, needles, paper products, or peanut butter was used. No medical waste was generated at this apt. My bill however had a 3.50 fee for medical waste. I was told this is an automatic fee that OSHA is now charging. I pai…

Just want to say [local city] is becoming a real joke. What’s with not having "Summer in the City," but we can have Christmas in the City when its 10 ͦ out and of course the beer festival that's only for the drinkers? In a city this size, we should be able to have summer festivals; places smaller than ours do. Maybe instead of paying people to water $1000's of dollars’ worth of hanging flo…

I think how Superintendents are placed in schools should be changed. Why is it that the school board gets to pick the Superintendent and not the employees who actually have to work with them? To often the Superintendent surrounds themselves with yes people and not the people who actually have to function under the rules and commands of this person. I believe that there should be elections …

To the driver of the white car...: The orange cones at our assisted living home in [local town] were not in our parking lot for you to take. We were blocking parking spots while setting up tents for our chicken BBQ for our residents' family members. You have some nerve taking them in broad daylight directly in front of the workers setting up the tent. You were so sure of yourself that they…

Our Town mowed our lawns and hung our Flags in preparation for you to come by the hundreds to enjoy the FREE Fireworks by the water. We contribute year around to the Fund so that all can enjoy. And what do you do for US ? You left your Darn Dirty Baby Diapers on the side of the road that we mowed for you to come and see the Fireworks.

I'm an 82 year old widow on Social Security and a small pension. Last year I fell and broke my shoulder bone. I was under Physical Therapy for almost all year, but still didn't regain full use of my arm. I also have back problems from an injury years ago and also have a balance problem and have to be careful bending over. I made repeated phone calls to organizations asking for someone to c…

A certain upscale [local town] lakeside apartment complex has a problem with its residents feeling they can walk their dogs around the neighborhood & let their pooches do their business without having to pick it up. This complex did install 1 dog waste disposal site on its East side, but that side is all sidewalks & roadway. It's the side where there is mowed grass that should have…

To the person who dislikes anyone displaying the confederate flag. That is your opinion and ONLY your opinion. Just like all the monuments, it is a part of history. Do not push your beliefs on me.

So you don't like your neighbors feeding the wildlife.....have a little compassion for animals, especially wildlife! You can hop in your car and run to the store when you need food; the animals cant. You state you have "so much time and money"...so put up a fence around your garden to keep the animals out. And BTW, the animals were here first. If you challenge that, please turn to your bib…

In response to the poster complaining about the confedeate flag, you are the one that needs to learn YOUR history. I have never seen anyeone fly a Confedeate States of America flag, I believe what YOU are refearing to is the "REBAL BATTLE FLAG" designed by a confederate general to distinguish the north from the south during battle because of how identical the confederate and union flag was…

I've been reading whether to change your name after marriage or not I changed mine and wished I hadn't because I didn't know that by changing my name I became his property he told me that I took an oath to love honor and obey I told him that they don't do that anymore he called me a liar I still go by his last name even though I could have changed it after his passing in 2014.

As a Chaplain volunteer in the Continuing Care at Thompson Hospital, I am truly blessed to visit the elderly in the Dementia/Alzheimer’s wing. It is SO important that the elderly people have visitations. Even if their minds are gone or going they still like and need to see family or friends, children, pets, a bouquet of flowers, Etc. Most residents have had to give up their independence, t…

Have you paid attention to the amazingly beautiful flowers down Main St. Canandaigua? The garden carts in Bloomfield? Thank you to the workers/volunteers that have kept all the flowers watered and cared for this summer. You are appreciated!

As usual, this year’s summer programs for the children at the Livonia Public Library were just wonderful. Seems the adults enjoyed each one as much as the kids! Many thanks to the staff! My favorite this year was the young man that did the “African Drum” singing and dancing program.

This past weekend my husband and I were out for a ride on our Harley. We never have a plan when we leave our house except to stop for lunch somewhere different. Some of our stops have been the Glenn Iris Inn in Letchworth Park and Bristol Harbor Golf Course. The views we have seen are amazing. I love to see all the different homes and the gardens and landscaping people take pride in. Letch…

Thanks to Coach Jackie for a wonderful U9 Summer Soccer season. The girls progressed beautifully and by the end of the season were a real team! It was a treat to see them come out of their shells, face fears, learn skills and develop a team bond. Thank you for all your hard work and patience.

While passing through Dansville last Friday, we experienced alternator trouble with a 3-day old alternator! We're grateful to Van Hyning Automotive for replacing the alternator and communicating with the garage who originally replaced it. You rescued our weekend and family reunion. The people of Dansville are fortunate to have such capable mechanics!
