On Friday, October 9th, my wife, and I went out to supper at the Village House in Albion. This was our first sit down supper away from home since the onset of COVID -19. What a difference from take out! As usual, I wore my Vietnam combat hat. Upon it are a few pins among which is a miniaturized version of the purple heart I received for injury during combat duty. After enjoying our supper, I tried to cash out, but we were told our bill was already paid by someone who wanted to honor a Vet. I was not able to find out who this patriot is, but you know who you are. We thank you for a heaping helping of patriotism. It served as an excellent dessert! Thank you again.
