A couple of weeks ago, a grandmother and her three granddaughters each made a couple of batches of cookies. They packaged them, set up little stands in their neighborhoods in different areas of Avon and sold the cookies. They received over $250 that they then took to a grocery store to buy food for the Avon Food Pantry. They brought the groceries to the pantry and put them on the pantry shelves to help people in need. What a great learning experience. Many life skills were learned, ending with the good feeling of helping others in the community. A great big thank you from the Avon Food Pantry to that giving family!
