On Sunday, January 27, Riga Recreation held its annual “WinterFest” in partnership with the Churchville Lion’s Club, the Churchville-Chili School District and the Monroe County Parks Department at the Churchville Elementary School. The Lion’s, once again, sold out their “World Famous” Chicken BBQ and there were carnival games, wildlife demonstrations, face painting, airbrush tattoos, caricature drawings, a bounce house, and airplay juggling throughout the school. Thanks go out to the following organizations and people that made this year’s event a huge success….the Churchville Lion Club for their famous BBQ, the Churchville Elementary School’s Kitchen and Custodial Staff, Noelle Burley and Girl Scout Troop #916 for a wonderful carnival experience in the gymnasium, the Churchville Leo Club and their advisor, Marty Molinari, Sam Villarealle, the caricature guy for his wonderful portraits, Adrianna’s terrific face paintings, Airplay Juggling, the Wildlife Educators Coalition, Arlene’s Airbrush Tattoos, and Air Affair for their bounce house! We look forward to WinterFest, 2020.
