To the person complaining about the price of Christmas trees: you are not just paying $50 for a tree, you are also paying for the work that goes into the tree. Just because you don't see the work doesn't mean there is none. The tree farms don't just plant a tree and hope it grows. It takes regular water and maintaining the newly planted trees. Then the farms also need to pay for the workers they hire whether it be one extra employee or a dozen. Maybe instead of complaining about the cost you should look into the reason for the cost.
