I work at a home for homeless veterans in a canal town. I have a 79 year old veteran who walks up to 12 miles daily. That is not bad for a 79 year old Vietnam veteran. A local lady walking her dog told this vet he couldn't walk down her street, near her or even in her area. How could you be so arrogant and unwelcoming to a veteran in your community? This man not only served his country in a bad era but now is told that he is not welcome to walk down your street, as well. Who are you to tell him that? This man is healthy and loves your community, yet this is how you treat your fellow neighbor? A Veteran? Thank God the community for the most part has been absolutely wonderful to our house because you left a poor impression on his and our staff's minds. Thank God the rest of the world isn't as heartless.
