The Genesee Valley Penny Saver honors this week's Business in your Community: Sweet Charity Resale Boutique & Shop, benefiting Advent House

Business Description:

Resale Shop featuring furniture, home furnishings, lamps, rugs, decor and accessories, artwork, jewelry, kitchenware--all items are donated and proceeds benefit Advent House.

Business History:

Sweet Charity Resale Boutique & Shop was conceived in November 2017 by Advent House, a ministry of Perinton Ecumenical Ministries (PEM) to provide a consistent source of funding to support the work of Advent House, a two-bed comfort care home serving the dying. Begun in 1987, Advent House is an outreach ministry of PEM and relies on funding from PEM partner churches, private donations, memorials, fundraisers, pledges and Sweet Charity, as residents pay no fees and Advent House receives no insurance reimbursement. All proceeds benefit this essential ministry.

Specialties:

All items are donated to our shop, so everything on display is unique...do donate and purchase with a purpose!

Goals:

* New Customer/donator attraction and retention; Providing a superior customer experience
