Our Remembrance Ceremony was held at 9:30am in Circle Park in Avon.  It was sponsored by St. Agnes School and the Village of Avon.  We were joined by the members of Joseph Gallipeau Legion Post # 294 and Veterans of Foreign Wars #5292

Some of our students interviewed their heroes (Family members who serve or have served in the military or first responders) and presented a short quote from them on why they serve our community and country.  The Patriot Guard Riders were present created an honor line  for the procession of the Color Guard, Veterans, students and staff and community to process to the park and the Patriot Guard also did a ride around the circle. Heather Randall from the Village of Avon sang the National Anthem and God Bless America.  Principal Elizabeth Jensen spoke on remembering September 12th, 2001—a day that our country came together as one to support each other in the shadow of such tragedy and to rise up patriotically to show our love and support for our fellow Americans.
