NYS Judicial Commission on Women in the Courts- Eighth Judicial District Gender and Racial Fairness Committee Host Lamplighter Luncheon

On May 8, 2019, New York State Judicial Commission on Women in the Courts- Eighth Judicial District Gender and Racial Fairness Committee hosted their biennial celebration of Women Lamplighters in the Law Awards Luncheon at the Hotel Lafayette, 391 Washington Street, Buffalo, New York.

The following honorees were recognized for their leadership and outstanding

contributions to the general and legal communities:

Dean Aviva Abramovsky, Dean University at Buffalo School of Law

Hon. Shirley Chisholm (Posthumous), First African American to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives

Linda C. Novotny, Esq., Court Attorney Referee Erie County Surrogate’s Court

Ruby Olive, Retired Court Clerk Buffalo City and Erie County Courts

Tiffany Perry, Esq. Court Attorney Referee Erie County Family Court

Mary Hajdu, Esq., Past President Jamestown Bar Association

Sharon Wasielewski, Court Analyst Eighth Judicial District Administrative Office

Erika L. Webb, Chief Clerk Buffalo City Court

Luci Welch, Orleans County Director of Probation

Hon. Caroline Wojtaszek, Esq., Niagara County District Attorney
