We’re Featured and So Are You!

Dear readers, we’re excited to announce that we’re launching a new company name, Featured Media™!

• Why the new name? Since 1948 the Genesee Valley Penny Saver has been serving communities by bringing readers and local organizations and businesses together. Your faithful readership has allowed us to grow from our Avon, New York roots to becoming a trusted resource for residents in the greater Western New York and Finger Lakes region. Over the years people have come to know us simply as “The Penny Saver.”

This has been a blessing, but we’ve also outgrown this name in many respects. Our customers are consistently surprised that besides print advertising, we also offer almost any type of marketing service a local business could need: commercial printing, promotional/branding products, direct mail and we’ve recently added a full-service digital marketing agency along with a vibrant video and photography skillset- all under one roof. We hope with the new name we’ll have the opportunity to share our services more with the local business community, and you too! 

• What digital services do we provide now? You name it: website design and hosting, Google SEO/SEM, Programmatic Display Ads, Social Media marketing and management, email marketing, and OTT/OTC to name a few. Don’t know what those are? No worries, that’s what we’re here for. 

• What does the new name mean for readers? Nothing! We’re still owned and operated by the same family that started the company in 1948. Both second and third generation family members work in the organization together along with a staff of just over 100 employees. While our list of services is growing, we’re committed to the Penny Saver’s success just as much now as we have been at any time over the last 75 years. 

• What’s in it for me and my business? We hope you’ll explore all the services we provide to help you grow and tell your story to the community. Our mission has always been to “reach” your customers in a variety of ways and while technology is constantly changing, our commitment to getting your message out is not.
